Abstract

The implementation of national development at this time is followed by increasing environmental
problems, such as floods, landslides, droughts and forest fires. This is due to human ambition to fulfill
their needs without thinking further about environmental damage. Therefore, it requires commitment
and responsibility of the community to save the earth from early age. One embodiment of environmental
care in early age is through adiwiyata program in elementary school. Adiwiyata encourages the
creation of knowledge and awareness of students in environmental conservation efforts. SDN 05
Kampung Pisang has a beautiful environment and is far from pollution. This school has teachers who
are committed to environmental care so that they have the potential to become adiwiyata school.
However, there has never been any socialization regarding the importance of protecting the
environment to students. This community service aims to increase participation and foster awareness of
students from an early age to care about the environment. The method are analyzing the school's
readiness in adiwiyata activities, giving counseling to students and providing environmental learning
facilities care to schools. The result from the activities, there was no specific program regarding the
environmental care. From the counseling conducted, it was found that students' awareness about the
environment was increased. It is expected that the school will utilize the learning facilities provided
from this activities and start to do the adiwiyata program actively.
